The problem with 'solving' flooding is that the weather is capricious and unpredictable, the water already tops the newest defence boundaries.thelmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934860502828923562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5613585301584630832.post-59336861360339126272015-12-29T07:25:59.394+00:002015-12-29T07:25:59.394+00:00Beautiful story.... The farmer complains that local councils now that they have all gone regionalised and 'big' no longer take care of the drainage problems which occur locally and which ultimately lead to bigger problems. Our flooding here has been quite bad, but the Ure and the Swale have always flooded and local people are used to it - and no houses are built on the flood plains. But of course both rivers contribute to the floods in York and elsewhere down there. Dreadful Christmas for so many. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5613585301584630832.post-30517968515862511172015-12-28T09:12:47.539+00:002015-12-28T09:12:47.539+00:00Morning Heron, The problem with Cameron is he is s...Morning Heron, The problem with Cameron is he is so laid back, and apparently he has received some resentful remarks from people he has visited. The Daily Mirror, I think, put a video out but it remains invisible ;)thelmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934860502828923562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5613585301584630832.post-54277515841469379962015-12-28T08:14:36.008+00:002015-12-28T08:14:36.008+00:00I was very surprised that Mr Cameron did not make ...I was very surprised that Mr Cameron did not make an immediate visit to the flooded areas and give moral support to the people because at least Mr Corbyn did.A Heron's Viewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06563706152609630696noreply@blogger.com
