Suffice it to say a tall wooden step ladder structure with a seat at the top. The 'Tabular hills' walk goes through here as well on its way to Lastingham.thelmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934860502828923562noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5613585301584630832.post-77941366068439689412016-03-26T11:01:22.366+00:002016-03-26T11:01:22.366+00:00Your wonky wooden bridge is what is known as '...Your wonky wooden bridge is what is known as 'footstick' here in Ireland.A Heron's Viewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06563706152609630696noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5613585301584630832.post-30701058849721222462016-03-26T08:51:32.991+00:002016-03-26T08:51:32.991+00:00Sorry - poor reading Thelma - you said you didn...Sorry - poor reading Thelma - you said you didn't take a photo - so I shall never know what the contraption looks like unless you go that way again (Lucy looks as though she would be only too happy to oblige). The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5613585301584630832.post-7728969218848907842016-03-26T08:49:04.566+00:002016-03-26T08:49:04.566+00:00I seem to think that I read somewhere that water c...I seem to think that I read somewhere that water courses are in short supply in your part of Yorkshire - certainly compared with ours they are. I looked for the 'contraption' in the photographs - is it the one with 'grassy ridges'? If so then I wonder if it is just marks made by a heavy vehicle when the ground was wet. We get lorries on our lane and if the verges are wet and soft we get places like that.<br />Lucy has certainly fallen on her feet being adopted by you. She really is having the time of her life and looks so happy. The Weaver of Grasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13947971556343746883noreply@blogger.com
