A resilient speech

A great speech by Mark Carney.

  1. He was smart enough to win the election that his party had been forecast to lose, partly because of #47. He talks smart too.

    1. As you probably know he was the Bank of England chairman for a time. He seems very sensible Andrew.

  2. Intelligent and eloquent. Saying pointed things that all NATO leaders apart from one man-baby would endorse 100%.

    1. Yes that is the whole thing that has been lost in the media, forever concentrating on the 'evil' one, when an honest morality speaks up we hear little about it Neil.

  3. Excellent speech. So well written. And then I watched Trump's press conference. Unbelievable.

    1. I cannot watch #47 speech, it is always an absolute nonsense from this dangerous man but will watch the other speeches, although I see our prime minister isn't at Davos Elle.

  4. I'm glad other countries are speaking up and hope my own country will work to remove the greedy leader that is ruining our country.

    1. Apparently he wrote that speech himself without minions around Steve.

  6. I read the speech on my phone while waiting in the car for Jim. How refreshing to connect with a head of state person who is coherent, intelligent, able to put forth sound ideas without bluster and bellicose blathering. We are sadly without that element here.

    1. Which was so much better that our prime minister, Keir Starmer who didn't even go to Davos. Carney is the leader on the other side of Trump's plan. Carney read the runes and said it as it was Sharon.

  7. Erudite.

Something the orange idiot has never been/will never be. In fact, guarantee he has no idea what the word means.

    1. He is ill-educated as well. There is so much many of us cannot forgive. Just been listening to the prime minister of Greenland and imagining the whole small nation in fear as that man sketches out his future for them Mary.

  8. I just watched this while reading it and what popped into my mind was Winston Churchill. He was the calm voice during some pretty chaotic days, just like Carney's careful measured words.

  9. Maybe Debby but I think Carney has cool intellect and the ability to construct sense out of all this. No wonder he was in charge of banks ;) Poor America is in complete disarray over #47, he is an embarrassment.
