Colour and Spirit
Before you read the headlines of this beleaguered world and find out that the disrupter in chief @47 has called Gavin Newsom the president of the US. Allow this Japanese video of the colour green sooth your mind, and for a moment dwell on colour; a thousand shades though only 35 in the video. Wander through the fresh green of spring, touching the leaves with your mind and rejoice that nature can be so beautiful.
Green is soothing. We go out in the green (woods) for calm and resetting.
ReplyDeleteThe trees always show where they are in the summer by the colour of their darker leaves from the fresh pale green of spring.
DeleteThe green of my tomatoes and peppers in their little starter trays is terribly comforting right now. Especially since it is snowing outside.
ReplyDeleteAs for our dear leader? I cannot even bring myself to think of him. I need to finish my coffee first.
I know it is very easy to splutter over one's coffee when you read the news. Coddle your tomatoes from the snow and get the plants safely through.
DeleteGreen was my Mom's favorite color. When we had a new home built in 1966, she got to pick the colors and we had pale celery green carpets along with lovely avocado green curtains and even avocado green appliances in the kitchen. We thought it was so fancy and she was so pleased. Thanks for this video, Thelma, - so calming and so filled with memories for me.
ReplyDeleteThe different shades of green are quite relaxing in a home Ellen. I remember when we could get avocado bathrooms but all those bathrooms have disappeared now to be replaced by gleaming white porcelain.
DeleteThat is beautiful. I am feeling so serene at the moment that I think that I could even be in the same room as 47 without resorting to extreme violence.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I could ever reach that state Tracy but the colour green is very calm.
DeleteJust what I needed after a stressful day. I have seen the first tiny buds on a tree across the track from the house, and elsewhere Hawthorn is out, and Weeping Willow. May is the most amazing month - 100 different shades of green . . .
