Well in the end Karen and I decided we liked Zadie Xa best Ellen. Andrew on the other hand liked the photos of Rene Matic and even took a photo of a photo to change into a print. Art though is very flexible ;)
Pass. Not for me. I'm like Sue in Suffolk and like my art to be representational. Love the really details Pre-Raphaelite art, especially nature paintings, and Impressionists too.
Addressing the three of you because you all feel similar. Art is a big subject and difficult to unfold. I look on these artworks as something akin to the dresses models take down a catwalk. They are one-offs or originals, we don't have to like them. Sometimes they get through though like Tracy Emin's bed or Damien Hirst's calf in formaldehyde and then stay in our memory.
Sometimes I do not get Modern Art but it certainly is colorful!

ReplyDeleteSome weird art there!
ReplyDeleteI must be old fashioned - I like art to look like something.

ReplyDeleteI like the first one, but generally modern art leaves me scratching my head in disbelief.
