| Winter has not been kind to this boat. It was in beautiful shape last year. Clean and crisp, it is called Carpe Diem |

A lovely day for a walk - let's hope for more such.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful still day Janice, with Canadian geese all along the pathway. Beginning to think we might have more Canadian geese in this country than they have in Canada.
Deleteshame about that last boat. lovely walk.
ReplyDeleteThat is the route to Hebden Bridge Liam. More energetic people in the family will walk the few miles back from there.
DeleteSome elbow grease will be needed for the canal boat. It is amazing how quickly moss, mould and whatever will stain boats.
ReplyDeleteIt was a very wet winter Andrew. This boat had money spent on it and must have been loved, in the bow of the narrowboat they had full sized replicas of wooden monkeys as well.
DeleteThere are signs up and down our Riverwalk "do not feed wildlife" as bread is not good for the geese and ducks that swim there. Signs point out that there is plenty of food in the river and on its banks for the geese and ducks to eat that is healthier for them. We used to have lots and lots of people feeding the ducks but it is less and less now as people learn from the signs.
ReplyDeleteYes it is similar here to Ellen, they recommend frozen peas as one way to feed the birds. Trouble is saying something to a person who thinks he is doing good is a bit risky.
DeleteCarpe Diem needs a pressure-wash! It's interesting that your phone watermarks the photos with the make of the camera.
ReplyDeleteYes it is a bit messy, I should doctor it but I am lazy Steve.
DeleteCarpe Diem needs someone to seize a scrub brush! Lovely walk! Lovely day!
ReplyDeleteThe problem with boats in water Debby is you have to find a mooring on the other side, which means you have to go a long boat ride to find a space large enough to turn the boat around - it is not easy. ;)
