I forgot to take a picture of the most decorated one, Jo and David were doing this, and having a 'domestic' over how much ivy to place in front of the baskets of fruit. As you can see the frozen harvest loaf was found also.
How funny--to freeze the harvest loaf each year to be thawed and trotted out! I suppose that to cut and eat such a work of patient effort might disturb some folks?
I do like the way this is understated. So many Harvest Festivals are over the top - this is just quite beautiful.

ReplyDeleteIt could well be made of salt dough, the type you make for children to play with. Probably back in the freezer now.
