New heading I know it is a bit gloomy but it puts history into perspective; England is so lush at the moment, that I am beginning to worry that climate change is forcing growth, the grasses are so high and even the flowering plants come and go so quickly. The roses hang their heavy heads and I need specimen vases to capture their singular beauty.
So Trump has made a deal, how long will it last? Skepticism by many analysts seem to say that it will not last, we will see. remembering Ozyimandias ;)
Lucy barked a lot in the night so I stayed downstairs with her, she is having a 'nervous breakdown' day. Too much walking which made her paws sore and her legs ache and then final indignity at the end of the day by being bathed and clipped, shorn now of her beautiful locks...................AND everyone keeps saying she is fat!

The bloom is now off my roses. A second will come, but the leaves will also get fungus and insects! The rains here are steady and I am not complaining as our AC is broken and the weather is blissfully cool. I "love" the new banner. That abandoned Gothic architecture gets me every time.
ReplyDeleteOur roses in this part of the country are off to a good start. The Abbey is one of the great Northern Cistercian abbeys, grown rich over the centuries and then harvested by old Henry V111.
DeleteYour header is fantastic and your gardens are lovely. I try to have an English garden and I watch all the British garden shows on Netflix for instruction. I think it must be your weather that makes it all so beautiful.

DeleteLove the photo of Rievaulx. Yes the gardens are lush although the only thing lush in my garden is the mares tail. But everything in the planted part is growing well and I can't expect miracles overnight. Patience and gardening go hand in hand.
