Well something to mull over, Riverford's video on plastics. The trouble is he doesn't have a long term answer. Today is a hospital day and I am not feeling too clever myself, but my aim is to keep on looking for other materials to wrap things up in. By the way Guy doesn't like Gove, neither do I, still call him Mr.Toad and last night meeting of minds, did not change my mind one jot.....
Decreasing the amount of plastic we use is an almost impossible task, because there are very few items made today that does not contain this material. That does not mean that each and everyone cannot do their part to find substitutes or only use those products that can be easily recycled.
ReplyDeleteThat is true Arleen, one of the problems also that besides the creatures of the sea imbibing plastic we are also.
DeleteI certainly think people are more aware of plastic than they have ever been and every little thing that we can do helps in some way.
ReplyDeleteAs to Gove - agree.
Someone said that before plastic had arrived on the scene we actually moaned about the use of trees to make paper bags. Not sure what that shows except as always we are over consuming.
DeleteA lot to think about.
ReplyDeleteWell there is a lot of stuff coming on the market, bamboo toothbrushes, waxed paper for wrapping things in, and of course the supermarkets are making a tentative gesture to use less Rain, we will see.
