Wandering Turnip on the latest on the sink hole. Freezing cold of course, now it is dangerous to take the lanes to the top road. Which also has been closed overnight. The woodlands though are still pretty. I'm not allowed out of the house!
Yes that was the tone of our argument to Lillie last night. She was going up to the moors to sledge, walking up in the dark with her friends! This was a scout's do, and only for adults, no little Beavers out in the dark;) Thelma
I don't know if it has been widely reported or not but near Manchester there has been a massive canal bank collapse, with many narrow boaters stranded.
Yes Andrew I think I have seen pictures of the bank collapse. Not sure if you watched the above but did you see the chap taking his boat (It wasn't a barge) back along the canal to his home. This is what I call laid back Britain doing things slowly.
I skipped through it and I did miss that. The sink hole or not a sink hole was interesting. For mine, if the earth sinks, it is a sink hole, no matter the reason.
Well I get cross at the American way of messing up our words Debby, for instance I will always spell labour with a 'u' and will not use the 'z' instead of the 's'. In fact I can see why America uses 'z' because it has a high point score ;) But you are always welcome to come. Thelma
It is silly to go out anyway, unless essential.

DeleteIf ever was a time to stay indoors, seems like this is it. It's freezing here as well, but unfortunately, we've got work to do.
ReplyDeleteDo you fancy a visitor?
PS: I'm good at Scrabble.
