Well I supposed we all bonded yesterday as our mobile phones set off a Red Alert across the country and our hearts went into panic mode. No portable BBQs, garden fires or fireworks. Sensible advice. Though earlier in the day I had written on our local MP's Facebook account, that rather than worry about barbeques it might be a tad wise to concentrate on the wildfires, all over the world and here in our own country. Brought on by Climate Change and for which we see little acknowledgment in this country, or at least in the government. Defra with its many thousands of employers has only 20 people to deal with it.
As frightened people contemplate their burnt homes in the West Midlands, only nineteen houses, but frightening enough for the owners. I suspect that in this place of our blogs, Cloud Cuckoo Land there will be someone still defending the opening of the two oil/gas fields, Rosebank and Jackdaw not withstanding that the energy may not be used for this country but sold on elsewhere.
Arsonists will also have a role as well no one can deny that, our young can sometimes run feral and severe punishment should be contemplated, if not actually used but at least threatened.
The problem with this country is that there is plenty of clever people but that they are not employed in solving our more immediate problems. Helped on of course by a corrupt media who just wants us to focus on the small gossip.
