A Lancashire farmer speaking out against fracking, he is articulate, understands the world around him and most importantly sees through our government who are forcing fracking through, especially on the people of Yorkshire and Lancashire. After all we are several hundred miles from the South and London so their water will not be compromised!
The video is taken by his son, as his father talks to a media crew, occasionally his less than perfect video goes awry but I think he is proud of his father.....
Seem to have the same problem in this country except with earthquakes and fracking and the small landowners having no voice or power in the matter.
ReplyDeleteIt is probably being steam-rollered in by the government except the final signature of agreement hasn't been signed yet by the relevant government official. Something is up.
DeleteYesterday, we had a small earthquake. I am sure there will be more to come from the fracking.
ReplyDeleteThe very first fracking well somewhere round Blackpool I think, set off a small earthquake in this country a few years back. We are a small country, every inch occupied or farmed there is no room for environmental tragedies...
DeleteDidn't I hear on North News this morning Thelma that fracking near you has been held up for some reason?
ReplyDeleteThink they are waiting on a signature from the government, which is probably waiting for the whole thing to calm down, which it will not, people are seriously digging their heels in.

I think it is a desperate country that engages with fracking to the detriment of their citizens health.
ReplyDeleteAgree, we have a minority government endlessly bickering about Brexit, fracking is 'up North' and out of sight, our local politician following party line thinks there are enough environmental measures in place. I dislike politicians intensely!
