Snippet 2

Pay your taxes, let cash flow through society.  That is what I picked up this morning as I pottered through the news.  The first thing I saw was a so-called funny,  Germans do not believe in charity they pay their taxes.  Forget the likes of Branson bawling for more money, he has already fleeced the NHS, demand he pays the proper tax rate.

Old people, except the very poor, can survive this dramatic turn of events, it is those on low wages, no contracts who will have the greatest worry.  It is the tourist industry that will be hit, the service industry, all those restaurants, theatres, cinemas, museums, we won't attend.  Spare a thought, spare a dime.

Take care of your family, turn outward, not inward, from a virus that is all mouth at the moment, listen to the three wise men as they pronounce daily, but always question what is happening.

  1. The men at the ends may be wise but the one in the middle is a charlatan. Even the men at the ends have their issues for their pronouncements have been strongly questioned by other members of the medical and scientific communities.

  2. Yes, sadly Johnson plays to the gallery, hopefully the situation is bigger than him. There is a lot of disagreement with the two experts of course. Not testing, not shutting down schools and not working like other European countries to contain the beast.

    This doctor for instance.....https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/mar/16/im-losing-faith-in-the-leadership-a-doctors-story-coronavirus

  3. My daughter is in the tourist industry. Yesterday, her job disappeared. Her husband paints houses and his one big job was cancelled. We, as a family, will do what we can do to help them and get them through this.

The US, like all other countries, was not prepared for this.

    Stay healthy, Thelma.

    1. Well not sure how my daughter will fare with her job, we shall see. My son is in computers and can work from home, in fact his office said yesterday because he is a diabetic type 1 to stay at home.

  7. The doctors and nurses are the front line of course, and there are not enough of them, or equipment. I wish her well.
