Video of Duloe Stone Circle

Well as it is a busy weekend with family here, I shall put on Roy's video of Duloe Stone Circle for viewing.  A lovely small quartz circle, which of course Jennie you were asking about the one in your neck of the woods yesterday. And if Roy reads this is that Stuart at the beginning?

    1. Many people use the stones for that very thing. The sense of mystery and of course not knowing. The quartz stone is seen as the best material for making a circle. The bluestone (small stones not the sarsens) of Stonehenge has the reputation of being hauled from Wales to Wiltshire.

  3. Thanks Thelma. Welsh farmers are a practical lot, and whilst what remains near me could have been a stone circle just like this, I suspect we will never know as a Dai Jones or two from the past might well have built fallen stones into walls . . . I can't get in to look properly as when I suggested this to someone living nearby they said the landowner wouldn't allow it. Mind you, this was some years back now. Thanks for sharing.

    1. When it comes to prehistoric remains farmers can be obstreperous about people on their land. All territorial ;)
