Idle thoughts

They seek him here,
they seek him there,
those Frenchies/journalists seek him everywhere.
Is he in heaven or is he in hell?
That demned elusive Pimpernel/Cummings

I had been worrying a bit where Dominic had gone, when last seen fleeing 10 Downing Street because of the virus.  Well he has made the headlines again.  Could we not have a bit of charity here?  As a letter from a headteacher in York described Dominic he suffers from 'arrogance personified' well we could all have recognised that, he has a personality deficiency, amongst other deficiencies.  Johnson also has not got the hang of running this country, his defence of Dominic really was a bit foolish, not Churchillian at all.  More like defending the back of an old mate!  Does he not realise that when you run a government you run it for the people (60 million and still counting) and not an air-head of a nonsense lad.
Dillie Keane had it right when she blamed Cummings for the 'herd immunity' solution, and though looking back retrospectively is not a good idea, would we not have had less deaths than the 36,793 deaths up till today.  The headteacher who wrote above to his MP was angry that his mother died alone in a care home a couple of hundred of miles away and he did not visit her because of the 'lockdown'.  The bishops are also rumbling away on Twitter about the unfairness of it all.
Forward good Conservatives, strike the serpent from the heart of your government,  And then all be quiet about him please, because Dominic should not be given air time, there are more important things happening in the world!

  1. What I don't understand about Cummings' travels is why it did not become known at the time. If his trips to Durham and Barnard Castle had been reported when they happened he would have had to resign. It would also have be very damaging to the government's messaging. Was it censored because of national security?

  2. Do you think it is a conspiracy theory? Can our government censor such flimsy news? I think Dominic does not give a damn about the guidelines we were all held under, so I am prepared to believe the 'sightings'. He should pay the price and get the sack - publicly. He is a wild card whether you believe in him or not.

  3. Even David Cameron described him as a 'career psychopath'. Spot on.

  4. As I said on Tom's post Thelma - words fail me. There is no point in repeating it - can we ever believe what a politican tells us in future? I doubt it.

  6. Well everyone having just heard him justify himself on the radio. He stumbled and bumbled his way through his side of the story, and yes there were reasons why he did it. But, and it is such an important but, as a leading figure in society, he undermined a principal that the government had drawn up for the nation. He is not above the law, he should have been extra careful, and if he will not apologise to the country and resign, off with his head ;) Sorry for the flippancy but it is a mad world.

  7. Try living with the US president as your leader! Yikes! Talk about lies and making things up just to suit himself. Oh, it is horrible with him in charge. I cannot even type his name! I agree with Weaver - it is hard to believe politician's anymore!

    1. He has been such an enigmatic figure up to now Rain, and then he sits down for an hour in the garden of No.10 and offers no apology to all the people who have broken their hearts because they could not visit a loved who was dying or go to a funeral. His crime may look small but it spoke to the heart of millions.

  9. And I thought keeping up with our "leadership" was difficult.

  10. We are in different times now Joanne, behaviour is judged by everyone, funnily enough Cummings will go back to work but the person who will suffer most is Johnson.
