Woodpecker, Shasta daisies and a kitten that needs to be caught.  Notice how curious Green Eyes is about life in the house.  She is not scared of Lucy, and her companions the bantams are her crowd of friends.
Life is quiet, the news rolls off the airways, more money is being sunk into the economy, (are the Conservatives becoming socialists?) But of course we know there is a great big wave that will come crashing in as the jobless start to surge.
Watched 'Legally Blonde' yesterday with Reese Witherspoon, it always makes me laugh and was just right for a Sunday afternoon.  After that in the evening my daughter had recommended Jon Richardson podcasts, basically about how we approach the future, and amongst the male banter there was some shrewd observations.
There is something rather wonderful in the way that radio and the internet has flourished in this time of plague.  People are not shy of talking to camera, we learn so much more about other lives, long may it continue.
Below not very good photos of firstly my woodpecker, though I think there is two coming to the nuts. Then the Shasta daisies which are out in full flush and lastly the little cat, making herself at home outside but too timid to come inside.

  1. I love Shasta Daisies - such a simple flower. The kitten is a darling. If you want her to come in I suggest putting something really tempting nearer and nearer the kitchen door (tuna?) although this might be difficult with a dog around. She is certainly a pretty little thing.

    1. It is difficult with Lucy who is very greedy, though I do feed the kitten outside the glass doors in the kitchen.

  2. What a pretty wee thing she is. Will she chase a piece of string? Can you touch her yet? We have had lots of untouched feral cats down the years - some are house cats now, others chose to live outside.

We have been watching The Last Kingdom again (from start to finish), then have really enjoyed Godless (set in 1880s American wild west.) Now we are watching RocknRolla, which is Keith's sort of thing!

    1. Can't touch her, though when she sees me she 'talks', whether from fear or friendliness not sure. Whether we like it or not television is a boon, especially now we can practically tune in anywhere.

  3. That woodpecker is certainly acrobatic. Our will not come to the feeders unless they are the smaller species.

    1. I like the woodpeckers, but perhaps the green one that hunts for ants on the lawn is favourite.

  4. I have not had Shasta Daisies in a few years and looking at your pictures, I miss them.

I watched Knives Out for my escape this weekend. I saw it in the movies last year and it was just as good the second time around. I was going to watch the play made into a movie, Hamilton, but wasn’t sure if I had the attention span it would need. Like you, looking at nature and the wildlife is always enjoyable.

    1. I have been watching 'Silent Witness' episodes for a long time, a bit gory but I enjoy the forensic side as they unravel deaths. ;)

  5. That kitten has a unique face--charming. I hope you can tame her.

    1. She needs to be caught for neutering, I don't know why I think of her as female, except she has very female ways.

  6. A devilish little cat. I have a great respect for black and whites.

    1. She waits for the bantams to be let out and then all three go off round the garden, pretty little thing.
